The ambassador emphasized that the relationship between Hungary and Oman, based on mutual respect and the importance of family values, love of peace and other common values, is developing dynamically.
He expressed his hope that as a resident ambassador, he would be able to raise the relations to an even higher level in many areas. He also thanked for the 50 scholarships offered to Omani students in the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program. The weekly Budapest-Salalah charter flight launched in 2023 opens up a new opportunity in tourism.
The President, agreeing with the ambassador, said that our countries are located in turbulent regions but we are proud of our sovereignty and the basic principle of our foreign policy is mutual respect, which provides a good basis for bilateral cooperation. With regard to bilateral relations, she assessed that it is of high importance that not only Omani students study in our country, but also Hungarians can study in Oman with the scholarships offered by the partner. Such mutually beneficial cooperation holds many opportunities for building relations between the two nations.
