Study in Hungary - this was the title of the Hungarian booth at the GHEDEX 2024 education exhibition in Muscat, which took place at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre between February 4-6, 2024. Throughout the three-day event, our employees were at the disposal of the visiting students and parents, answering their questions about Hungary and our country's higher education opportunities. Ambassador Barnabás Fodor also participated in the ceremonial opening of the 23rd expo.
Special attention was paid to the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program, which is also open to Omani students and future students. Hungary provides a total of 50 places for Omani citizens at BA, MA and PhD level. We are very pleased that there were more applications than available seats for the 2024/2025 academic year, and that there was great interest in the program at the exhibition. Students living in Oman hear more and more about it from relatives and acquaintances studying in our country.
